I pray for myself so that I will be able to find my purpose on this Earth and my own form of service to our world, and so that I can learn to be happy and not stress about things. I pray for my friends so that everything would be good in their lives, and again I pray for myself so I can stop being stupid and avoiding my friends like I have been. I pray that my mom will soon find a job that she enjoys and is happy with, and that she will be happy. I am doing a research assignment on Buddhism and how the wold would be if everyone converted. During my research, I have been thinking about converting some of the Buddhism beliefs into my life. I am Christian at the moment and like the idea of peace and love for all. I am skeptic on the vegetarian thing however but I might give it a go. Can I just ask, how do you all handle not having a God to worship as the Buddha does not preach to be one and is simply a guide. I'd like to pray for world peace and inner peace for all, and hope that we may balance our lives accordingly, whether it be family or school or work. Love and Peace for all.

Yet there are those who, in the passion of their own piety, enter other houses of worship to interrupt and dominate. They shall reap that which they have sown. I pray that their tortured soul that in its pain is driving them to berate others will find peace and happiness.

for all you people who say that you are "happy" and "well-educated" and you dont want to be saved-that doesnt matter. who cares if you're happy but you eventually will burn forever in hell. whether or not you are happy or intelligent is completely irrelevant to truth. also, a real Christian is not going to stop trying to "save" you just becasue you dont want to be saved. its not really about you. they are just doing what the bible tells them to do. you should check up on your info too. maybe other religious people think that we should live peacefully with other people with different religions but thats not what Christianity calls us too. Heavenly Father, I pray again for all of the souls who come here that have rejected the love of Jesus Christ. The message You have commissioned us to preach to the world is not of our own design or opinion. You convicted us of the sinful condition of our souls. The hardest thing we ever had to do was admit to you that we have sinned and violated Your holy Word. You convinced us that Jesus was the only Way, the only Truth, and the only Life. Just want to remind all that: A lot of times, people said I'll be happy when........... We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are. After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, when we are able to go on a nice vacation or when we retire. The truth is there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when? Your life will always be filled with challenges. It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. Happiness is the way. So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time with ... and remember that time waits for no one. So, stop waiting . Until your car or home is paid off. Until you get a new car or home. Until your kids leave the house. Until you go back to school. Until you finish school. Until you lose 10 lbs. Until you gain 10 lbs. Until you get married. Until you get a divorce. Until you have kids. Until you retire. Until summer.. Until spring. Until winter. Until fall. Until you die. There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination. So work like you don't need money, love like you've never been hurt, and, dance like no one's watching. I pray that all beings can find such happiness & be at peace with themselves & others. Why do people think that Christianity is the only way? That is so funny, that people are so blind to everthing eles. I find that Christians are very intolerant and in a sense do not have the ability to love all living beings because if you don't believe in what they do your going to hell. OK !!! Did anyone ever hear of the journey that Jesus Chris him self made for a long period which the bible doesn't talk about. He saw many religions and different beliefs. After his return to his land he then started spreading the word of God, he also said that he was the son of God and that all beings were his brothers, sisters. His was nothing special, just like you and me, like buhda and any other form of savior. They only spoke the word of God...nothing more. They found the word of God which is in all of us if we listen to our conscience and try and listen to the word of God. The Bible is a good book but nothing more, it wasn't written by God himself, only by ordinary men who had the best of intentions. Trust your judgement and never follow blindly any cause or any religion just because it has a great marketing plan like the Catholic religion or any of them have for that matter. They are ouly imposters, middle men trying to live off Gods word while not living by his word. The Pope...living with all that gold in his CASTLE could by himself solve a large portion of world hunger but...answer to my question please...wouldn't you do it ? Buddha was a prince and a world monarch to be.He gave that up for us. He spoke words which is true but against the social traditions of his time eg. invalidity of caste system, the ability of women to attain sainthood like men, the sanctity of all lives, fruitlessness of animal sacrifice. He walked all over India not to tell people to convert with the threat of hell, but with reasons for a change in character. We Buddhist really appreciate that, he was a true agent of social change and the true prince of peace! He taught practical ways for peace in daily life and hereafter. The best of all, he claims he's just himself, an awakened person, not a god whom everyone must submit themselves or risks baking in hell. Praise to him!

I would like to say first that it is wrong to wish for the copious life and happiness of those who are bad and harm others as many of you have done. Those who would spend a life, blessed with many years, advocated to unprovoked and misplaced behavior of a caustic nature, or the spread of such ideas are the creators of the locks that prevent humanity from escaping this cruel, ignominious world and into the existence of a realm with the peace and compassion all of us who deserve happiness desire. Acts of good that those like myself seek to accomplished are hindered or digressed and past successes are regressed by those like that imbecile, bob, who wrote below. The indubitable truth is that those of us who want that near utopian world that IS within human Capability can not have it, unfortunately, in coexistence with the many ethically atrophied members of the homosapien species. Our choices are to eliminate the greatly lazy, stupid or ignorant, and hedonistic persons of the planet or to tolerate all manner harmful and profilgate behaviors of mankind until we self-destruct. The ignorant can be thought, but only if not lazy and if they so desire. They must therefore be unselfish as well. I for one seek immense knowledge so that I can help those that are ethical and in need of comforts, if I am so able and to solve any form of problem or to give form to the amorphous ones so others can solve them in the future. Most learn merely enough in one or to areas of knowledge to gain wealth or power. Tolerance has become too great today. It is a form of laziness. When we do not wish to spend the energy to condemn and correct fallicies in our brethrens' behavior, and/or the ideas these bad deeds eminate from, then we (as a whole, not myself) tolerate such disparaging acts to our legacy. Societies do this generally when the numbers which commit a particular act of wrong are of a signifcant percentage of the population, a substantial minority if you will, and are very vocal and flagrant. I understand that most of you are of a mindset to reform others by diplomacy or by example. Time is not in your favor or historical precidence. Most habitually bad people will not change. Most refuse to see their flaws for what they are or at least in measure or degree. Those that do change provide no absolute remedy that proves to work on most with the same flaws. These rare evil to good stories tend to come from introspective sources out of the power of our external, well meaning motivations to influence others in any perceptible way. We can provide many doors, but they must chose to walk through one of those that leads to a dao of peace, compassion, intelligence and general work ethic that moves further up the pallisades that hide our Earth's utopia. The way in which most of man thinks today makes peace an impossiblity. So many want to embrace their natures which include many wrongs. Natural does not mean correct or okay despite what many think and is not acceptable. We need to make ethical thinking and education the number one priority on earth among those not scrambling to for food, water and shelters. Then we must be willing by death even to obliterate those who do malicious deeds or those whom expand the ideas of such acts that could compel others like the very young to do them. We can not allow anyone to chose their own path without any boundaries at all or even with weak ones. We need to establish worldwide principles and codes that are as law, which are based upon the most noble well meaning aphorisms of the various cultures of mankind. A person not being a cold- blooded murderer, rapist, vandal or sordid thief can not be enough to classify them as decent and deserving to live on earth. How can you wish eternal bliss for yourself and one who would harm you if that person's pleasure is derived from the pain of you and others who are good. It is completely apocyhrfal and fatous to adhere to such a value. When a wrong act is done to bad people and has good results in aftermath then the act is a good deed and is right after adjusted to include factors of justification and reasoning. The problem is that some like to make up justitice as a dissembling for revenge or for other unsound explanations. All the great philosophers no matter how different in approach, still agree on things like compassion, wisdom, honesty, integrity and such mottos as one good turn deserves another as the principles of the ideal man. They are are to be followed without fail in one's INTENT though an occasional falter due to the lack of perfection, which exist because so many factors in attaining of goals are not within our total control, should righteously be tolerated. So my prayer is for the health and felicity of those who seek to garner and use erudition (ajoined with and guided by aphorisms and ethics)for the affirming of problems for all and solutions to them. This so that there may be bred a multitude of ideally behaving persons and a taste of the ideal utopian world that some of us rightly yearn for. I pray also that those who hinder such progression either swiftly change their habits or be swept from this world by any means. Namaste. Amen.

I'm praying for wise administration to those in need and dependant upon recent budget cuts with possible results of leaving the homeless without shelters and those who can't afford housing the possiblility of becomming homeless themselves. I am also praying for information on government programs newly implemented for those disabled who want to reenter the work place and/or get training while being able to continue benefits in the process. I'm having trouble getting needed information on these in process issues from local politicians and have decided to take it to the Lord in Prayer. To those many of this culture that have been raised in the judeo-christian tradition, they had been tortured by the guilt of others desires to dictate. Remember' "god created the light and saw that it was good." Please do not forget that all cultures envision this light and that they believe the greatest power lies beyond the separation of the two. In our present state we as a culture in america are in dire need to renew our spirit. Many in this culture recognize that spiritualism is an intergral step of human growth potential. But, these people who are slowly reaching for the guidepost of light never recognize the ultimate similarities between faith and the connction between commune and religion. The faithful of the cult of christ had committed many atrocities in the name of their teacher in the past.Those were the days of great darkness and many that had witnessed this through history deny the ideologies of western past. they look toward the rising sun to make a new. do our words confound? I pray that we all exude our inner vision and truely realize our true nature. Our desires of security would then be exposed as the fraudulant manifestations of worry that they are. I pray that we truly understand the nature of the loving kindness that resides within us all so we may rely upon one another and not the outdated ideologies of a judgemental, elitist church institution.
