The following are all the PS3 Motherboards found on the internet. Minor variations in serial number motherboards are not shown (those only differing in the last two digits of the motherboard serial number). Early prototype PS3 motherboards also exist. The PS3 CECHB Motherboard is identical to CECHA motherboard. However, the CECHB does not have the daughter-card supporting wi-fi and memory card readers.

In PS3 CECHC motherboard, the Emotion Engine is removed, leaving only the Graphics Synthesizer chip (black chip). This compares to the CECHA and CECHB motherboards where a large silver chip contained a both EE/GS inside. Also, in CECHC, the 128MB of flash memory chip from the back of the motherboard was moved to the front of the motherboard.

In PS3 CECHH, the size of the motherboard shrank, and many chips were rearranged. Two 64MB XDR memory chips (128MB total) were moved to the back of the motherboard to save space.

CECHK:

The CECHK PS3 motherboard is very similar to CECHJ. A definitive way to tell apart which is which, is by looking at the last digit of the 9-digit PS3 motherboard serial number (X-XXX-XXX-XX). If the last digit is a 1 then it is a CECHJ. If it is a 2 then it is a CECHK.

In PS3 CECHL motherboard, the daughterboard from previous CECHK is no longer separate and is now integrated onto the main motherboard.

CECHM:

The following pic is not verified. But if it is a true CECHM, then the CECHM is no different than CECHJ and CECHK (a step back from the L shaped CECHL motherboard). The serial number has not been verified yet.
