More information on the RSOD has been placed here:

http://www.edepot.com/playstation3.html ... 3_Hardware

Look in the Hardware Faults section.

The 8 languages are... (in this order)...

Spanish
Russian
Finnish
English
Japanese
Korean
Chinese (Traditional)
Chinese (Simplified)

Trivia: Why in that order?
It doesn't seem to be based on population (Spanish and Chinese people are on opposite ends and they make up a big bulk of the world's population).
It doesn't seem to be based on PS3 sold (English PS3 in the USA is in the middle, not at the top or bottom of the list and the USA PS3 sold the most).
It doesn't seem to be based on alphabetical (Japanese and Korean seem to be out of order if going from bottom to top)
It doesn't seem to be based on PS3 model region (CECH00 Japan and CECH01 English USA should be the first two or last two then)

Could it be random? Likely. But the lower half are in the Asian continent and the top half are on the American and European continent. I almost wanted to say by Time Zone, but Spanish would be out of order.

Hi!

The first language is Portuguese. More specifically Portuguese from Portugal (Portugal Portuguese).

"Ocorreu um erro grave. Contacte o apoio técnico para assistência."

In Spanish it would be:
"Hay ocurrido un error grave. Contacte el soporte técnico para obtener ayuda."
In Brazilian Portuguese it likely would be used as:
"Ocorreu um erro grave. Contate o suporte técnico para assistência."
