Playing Region A Blu-Ray discs

Hello,
I have a CECHH04 European PS3. Today I noticed I wasn't able to play 7 out 20 Blu-Rays which I bought from USA. It is playing just fine the rest. The warning I get is the region code do not match with the player. Because I never had any problems before I thought it was a multi region player. I guess not. Is there a way to correct this? Could this have something to do with the system clocks failure (yesterdays event)?

Unfortunately Blu-ray Region A/1 Blu-ray discs are made for USA only. You are in Blu-ray Region B/2, so you shouldn't be able to play USA imported Blu-ray movies. If you movie is region free maybe, but most commercial Blu-ray discs are region coded. Games, on the other hand, are not region restricted.
