In StarCraft 2, one of the tougher challenges is to beat the computer opponent on Insane level (the hardest setting). There are even achievements to be got when you are able to do so (beating the Insane computer 10 times is one). The following are three basic ways to defeat the computer AI opponent on Insane level setting:

1) Technique one is to find a pattern that the AI uses, and take advantage of it. An example is that the AI computer opponent will always pull their troops back to their base if their base is under attack, even if those superior troops are in your base.
2) Technique two is to keeping the computer busy attacking you with workers instead of building troops at the beginning of the game.
3) Technique three is to surround and starve their one base until they run out of minerals.

The following replays will demonstrate how to do all three techniques playing as Protoss, Terran, or Zerg. It will also show how to defeat Protoss, Terran, or Zerg using one of the above techniques.
