Although the Vinegar Tasters is a famous subject for people who have studied art from ancient China, there is another painting with similar subject-matter. This painting is called the "Three Laughers at Tiger Ravine", or something similar in naming. In this painting, a person (representing Buddhism) is inside the temple meditating for most of his life, and has vowed not to leave the temple grounds (which requires crossing a bridge). Two friends, one representing Taoism, and another representing Confucianism went to visit the Buddhist. The three met and were walking along talking, and having a great time that they forgot they have crossed the bridge. Upon noticing this, they all laughed out loud at the same time.
